Capacitive Sensors
Capacitive sensors from Baumer can detect both metallic and non - metallic objects. They operate based on the change in capacitance when an object enters the sensing field. They are highly sensitive and can be adjusted according to different application requirements. For instance, they can be used in the food and beverage industry to detect the presence of plastic containers or glass bottles on the production line.
Standard Capacitive Sensors
These are the basic models that can detect a wide range of objects, including solids, liquids, and bulk solids. They have a relatively long switching distance up to 15 mm and can detect objects through plastic walls, which is useful in applications where the sensor needs to be protected.
Capacitive Level Sensors
Used for detecting the level of liquids or bulk solids, these sensors are designed to work accurately even in challenging conditions. For example, the PL240 capacitive sensor can perform point - level detection without being affected by films and adhesion, ensuring reliable level detection in tanks with residue or microfilm on the walls.
